Sustainable Development Policy
This Policy confirms our commitment to Sustainability and establishes the fundamental principles on which we base our conduct of responsible business and ensure our efforts to leave positive legacies in our areas of influence, together with our contribution to human progress. Our stakeholders act as drivers for developing a responsible business and being a relevant player both in the places where we operate and in global challenges, through the development and innovation of our Lithium products, key to the decarbonisation of the world.
Scope
This Policy and its commitments apply to SQM Salar SpA, its directors and employees, and guide all of the company's business relationships, including those with its suppliers and contractors, customers, distribution & logistics, participations in joint ventures, venture capital, business alliances, due diligence of mergers, acquisitions, among others.
New Sustainability Policy
The new Sustainability Policy maintains 5 pillars, but some of them changed their name as their scope was extended, incorporating more demanding strategic issues to comply with the different regulations and certifications to which we are associated, as well as to ensure the fulfillment of our aspiration to contribute to the sustainable development of the world, delivering solutions for industries essential for human progress, in harmony with our environment and our people.
