The company participated for the second consecutive year as the main sponsor of Expo Inclusion, promoting the employability of people with disabilities and strengthening its collaborative work with the Miradas Compartidas Foundation.
SQM Lithium's participation in Expo Inclusión 2025
Santiago, October 10, 2025.– SQM Litio actively participated in the eighth version of Inclusion Expo, the leading national event dedicated to the employment inclusion of people with disabilities and older adults. In this edition, the company promoted a series of concrete actions to support the employability, training, and accessibility of people with disabilities, reaffirming its commitment to diversity and equal opportunities.
During the two days of the fair, the SQM Litio team, together with the Shared Views Foundation, guided attendees in reviewing their profiles and resumes, providing personalized recommendations on positions they could apply for within the company. In addition, direct support was provided to obtain the disability card, accompanying people in the collection of documents and in the processes before the COMPIN, thanks to the collaborative work with IVADEC, which allowed for faster management times.
Inclusive training programs and professional internships
SQM Lithium presented its inclusive training programs, aimed at developing skills and abilities that allow people with disabilities to apply for future positions within the company, along with its program inclusive practices, which offers young people the opportunity to complete internships in operations in the north of the country and thus obtain their technical qualifications.
Inclusion as part of the organizational culture
The joint work with Miradas Compartidas has also incorporated internal activities of awareness and well-being, such as inclusive active breaks and healthy snacks prepared by the protected gastronomic workshop of the foundation, integrating inclusion as an everyday element within SQM Litio's operations.
“Our goal at Expo Inclusion is to be close to people, to guide them, support them, and accompany them in their careers. Every conversation, every resume reviewed, or every support provided brings us closer to a more inclusive mining industry. This joint work with Miradas Compartidas and organizations like IVADEC demonstrates that inclusion is built through real, sustained action.” explained Bárbara Blümel, Deputy Manager of Talent Attraction and Diversity at SQM Litio.
Commitment to inclusion and adapted sport
A separate highlight of the opening day was the talk given by Katherinne Wollerman, gold medalist in paracanoeing at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, reviewing her story and how sport and inclusion changed her life. “Inclusion is built on real opportunities. Being part of a company that promotes adaptive sports and diversity fills me with pride. This type of partnership shows that there are no limits when you work with conviction and commitment,” he explained.
Strengthening inclusive and sustainable mining
With this new participation in Expo Inclusion, the strategic company in the global lithium market reaffirms its commitment to a more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable mining industry, strengthening its mission to contribute to the development of the people and communities with which it interacts.
